More interesting tidbits I found around the web this week:
Facebook Timline… I like it!
A lot of changes coming to Facebook, and it looks like they’re about to add yet another “thingy” soon, the “Timeline”. This is your new profile page, and can look like this:
It’s still in “beta”… and the page you see above will not be visible unless you are a “developer”. For more on timeline, check out this page.
Here’s the really cool news…
TechCrunch wrote an article on how to enable the Facebook Timeline for your account. (pretty cool, and it works!) It isn’t 100% clear, but you can follow the steps and you’ll figure it out.

Want more traffic? Here’s 21 steps to 1,000 visitors per day…
Kim Roach just released an excellent blog post on 21 steps to 1000 visitors a day.
Some of it is pretty basic, but here are the 21 steps in a nutshell:
- Write great content (not surprising)
- Content Syndication (make it “viral”)
- Use Blog Carnivals (related to your niche)
- Use BloggerBase
- Use BlogEngage
- Use BloKube
- Use Niche Social Sites
- Post to Tutorial Sites (in your niche)
- Become a Guest Blogger (Kim recommends twice a week)
- Build your own Blog Network (your own syndicate of like-minded bloggers)
- Forum Marketing
- Use Solo Ads (pay others to mail to their list of subscribers)
- Ad Swaps (once you have your own list)
- Newsletter Syndication (submit your story to Ezines)
- Webinar swaps
- Create Rocket Deals (where you get your ad on someones “thank you page” or similar pages)
- Use Banner Ads
- Use Thank You Notes
- Have fun! (be passionate about your biz)
I think this list could be truncated to less than 10 items since many of the things here is simply “content syndication”, BUT she shares a lot of little tips for each item so it’s definitely worth a read. Check it out here.

Want to Learn a New Language?
Ok, so this one is not marketing related, but it’s still pretty cool so I thought I’d share it.
A while back I came across this really cool site with tons of language courses put out by the Foreign Service Institute that had landed in the public domain.
Anyway, check out all of the language courses available for free here: http://sher.us/fsicourses

Video of the Week:
Since I added a video last week, I thought I’d start adding a video I’ve found interesting (or funny) to the “News around the web” posts.
Here’s my top pick for this week, Steve Jobs’ 2005 Stanford Commencement Speech (if you haven’t watched it, you need to… because it’s awesome!)
